This pattern was created for Victoria Johnson’s Explore Florals course. For this assignment the theme was Botanical Florals. This year I grew some wildflowers in my garden and picked some to sketch. I then spent some time adding watercolour.

To be honest I was outside of my comfort zone as I am slightly intimidated by flowers! But flowers are like anything else to draw and I really loved the process. The time spent was a really lovely meditative experience. I am no longer ‘scared’ of drawing flowers, and I was really happy at how they turned out!
